"idontlikefootball" don't correct my post please, I might be replying to something 2 months old but... please your correct your name, if you bothered to correct the grammar in my post then I'm pretty sure you could have been bothered to fix the grammar error in your name.

What does your last line exactly mean?

What people in the southern states often don't realise that the vast majority of NSW and QLD couldn't care less about AFL. How can people get excited about scoring a point for missing? I mean, most of the time, you know who has won by half time anyway. I really tried to give it a go, but alas, fell asleep.
FOOTBALL is played with a round ball, and the sooner it takes over here in OZ, the better off we will all be.

Dean
My life doesnt revolve around football. I enjoy watching it , live or on television. Australia is proud of its sporting history and traditions, and to
say our national game is "boring", played by 'Tossers" and watched by "fools" sound like the words of a spiteful, narrow-minded and ignorant person. Not to mention somewhat unpatriotic. If you want to be 'Anti' anything try Anti Drugs or Anti Child Abuse or something. Leave footy alone. Its fun and entertaining for some people.
Regards

All you people are probably those hippy xxxx xxxx xxxxx from brunswick street who dont wear shoes and eat grass for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guess what, footy is here to stay and in 4 short months, the 2010 season will begin and it will once again be shoved down your throats. Footy is only going to get bigger, so if you dont like it, go undertake land reclamation to create an island where all you xxxx can live together and xxxxx each other up the xxxx.

"That still leaves 22 million plus people in Australia (or the 6.8 billion on the rest of the planet) who didn’t."

Oh I'm pretty sure more than 1 million people watched footy mate

Probably around 10 million people watch footy around Aus, or even more, and if it isn't football its rugby, so more than 18 million follow either of the 2 sports.

"Season’s over now guys so what will you do now for the next six months, take up knitting?"

There is always cricket

In reply to Tom Loincloth and James, those of us whose lives don't revolve around football have other things to do such as working on Saturday. At least I was being paid to be out in the cold unlike you people who spend hours lining up in the cold then forking out huge sums of money for the privilege to watch a group of overpaid tossers run around in the wet and the cold. I didn't have to stress out about not getting GF tickets like all of you fools. And As for James comment about 99252 watching. I am sure just as many if not more didn't watch this boring game.
Season's over now guys so what will you do now for the next six months, take up knitting?

Tom,

Re having a life - see my comment 33. Would love your explanation as to where I have it wrong.

As for not watching AFL... my comment 27 refers. Trust me - if we could we would, but the media's footy fixation at the expense of virtually *every* other field of human endeavour makes it impossible to avoid.

It seems footynazies such as yourself even resent footy-free oases such as this website.

James,

That still leaves 22 million plus people in Australia (or the 6.8 billion on the rest of the planet) who didn't.

And what they did is none of your business - we're not the ones shoving what *we* like down *everyone else's* throat.

You still seem unclear as to who the real losers are.
